Support Me...Beginning the journey of fulfilling my life long dream to compete as a professional snowboarder on the US Paralympics Team in Sochi 2014. Please support me in making my dream a reality... by not only buying a tshirt but wearing your shirt to show support for me on my journey to Sochi!!!
Background...Dan Monzo, who lost his leg in a dirt bike accident eight years ago, is an adaptive snowboarder who has a prostetic leg with springs in the ankle and toes that make it ideal for use snowboarding. The Vernon resident has been snowboarding at Mountain Creek South for many years, long before losing his leg to an accident. His first question to the doctors prior to the amputation was "will I still be able to snowboard"? And the answer was and still is, "YES"!!! He has been working hard to achieve his goal by devoting his winters to training out West and sucessfully competing in World Cups, National and International competitions. His journey to Sochi began on February 4th when he was nominated to participate on the US Paralympic Snowboarding Team. Opening Ceremonies will begin for the Paralympics in Sochi on March 7, 2014 and Dan will be there wearing NJ pride in his heart.
