Back by request: Mercy Air Med Memorial T-Shirt

On the evening of January 2nd, 2012 a Mercy Air Med Air Ambulance based at Mercy Medical North in Mason City, Iowa unexpectedlty crashed in a rural area while enroute to pick up a patient. All three crew members aboard were killed.

The three crew members that have lost their life in the line of duty are: 48-year old Paramedic Russell Piehl, 44-year old RN Shelly Lair-Langenbau and 53-year old Pilot Gene Grell

The creator of the Central-Iowa EMS Providers Facebook page has designed a “Memorial T-Shirt” to honor the victims of the crash, with 100% of the proceeds being donated towards crew member’s memorials.

The front left breast of the T-Shirt features a Star of Life with a mourning ribbon and a helicopter in the background. The back of the T-Shirt featrues large lettering that reads "EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES" that has a memorial design below featuring the date of the incident and the names of the victims.

The shirt campaign will only last for 10 days! The way the campaign works is you will reserve how many shirts you’d like to purchase, provide payment option (which is processed at end of campaign), and you’ll receive your t-shirt approximately 10-14 days at the conclusion of the campaign!
