For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for? -Romans 8:24
This passage from the ancient Scriptures haunts me. Hope that is seen is not hope, and yet it is by hope that we are saved. Irrational, desperate, against-all-odds hope.
Sometimes I wish there was more to hold onto than the promise of hope. But I suppose it is enough. I made this design to remind myself when I forget.
We have an anchor. We have hope. And by hope, we are saved.
"We have hope as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast." -Hebrews 6:19
