<b>Flipping Youth is a UK registered charity, empowering young people internationally through action sports and the arts. We work in areas where gang violence among young people is prevalent and there is a lack of government provided action sports facilities.</b><br><br><b><u>Project:</u> JA SKATE - <i>Kingston, Jamaica</i></b><br>JAMAICA'S FIRST SKATEPARK!<br><br>Despite the growing number of young people engaging in skateboarding on the island, they have nowhere to go but the streets, the same streets that have the 6th highest homicide rate in the world!<br><br>We want to give the young people of Kingston a safe, sociable environment for them to practice their hobby, use their energy creatively and divert them from hanging around on the streets, which can encourage involvement with the criminal gangs.<br><br>We are raising money to build a permanent concrete skatepark with small community centre attached in the Kingston area. There will be a system in place for equipment lending, for those not yet fortunate enough to own their own.<br><br>Please help us reach our £30,000 fundraising goal by purchasing a Flipping Youth t-shirt today!
