Ryland was kind, funny, and had a million-dollar smile. A three-sport athlete at Brentsville High, Ryland knew what it was to be a team player. Ryland was a fighter on and off the field, battling stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, Ryland lost his battle to cancer on September 15th, 2021, at the age of seventeen. The quote on the back of the t-shirt was chosen by Ryland's mother, as Ryland always had a smile on his face and knew how to live life to its fullest. There is still no cure to cancer. Additionally, childhood cancer only receives 4% of federal funding from the NCI, making it incredibly difficult for researchers to find more effective treatments for kids. 60% of the proceeds from the #PlayLikeRyland t-shirts will be donated to a non-profit organization, TheTruth365, to help raise awareness and provide funding for childhood cancer research.
