The recent flooding has created an animal welfare crisis, and we are committed to making the 2400-mile round trip as many times as it takes, to save the lives of the animals that were already in the shelter system prior to the flooding. This makes room for flood victim dogs, and gives them time to reunite with their families. If shelters are overcrowded, dogs already in the system will be euthanized to make room for the "flood dogs".
