This design is inspired by the Xhosa bread called Rostile. The bread is baked and roasted at the same time. It is a healthy choice. It has sustained our family for over 50 years. We continue to produce this bread for our customers 5 days a week.
I dedicate this design to my late grandmother, Nomithi Kalawe. She used to make and sell Rostile for hundred of municipal employees in Kwazakhele, Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
IsiXhosa is one of the most spoken languages in Africa. It forms part of the Nguni languages of the Bantu people.
