Puddles was found at the water treatment plant in Frankenmuth in 2005. She was an adult, but only weighed 4 lbs! A few months after being fixed, we started feeling some lumps on Puddle's belly and took them into the vet to get them checked out. That was when our President Nancy received some news she wasn't hoping for: It was mammary gland cancer. She wasn't going to give up on Puddles, and so Puddles began treatment.
Puddles had both sets of mammary glands removed, and visited MSU for 6 rounds of chemo! After fighting mammary gland cancer for a year, Puddles went into remission and began her happy days of being an office cat and loving on all our guests and volunteers. However, 2 years later, Puddles cancer came back, this time in her lungs. After 5 more rounds of chemo at MSU, the vets told Nancy that Puddles wasn't going to get better, and gave her 4 months to live. Puddles had a different idea though because she lived two more beautiful years and even was adopted by two medical students who wanted to give Puddles the best last year of her life with them!
Puddles hold a special spot in all of our hearts, and we want the friends who loved Puddles to have a little piece of her too! All proceeds from this T-Shirt goes towards caring for the cats and kittens at Pet Angel Adoption & Rescue!
Special thanks to Shannon Hutchinson from SMH Graphic Design for the amazing portrait of Puddles for this T-Shirt! You can check Shannon and her work out at www.smhgraphicdesign.com
