Rayane Hayek (@alleviate.art) is a Lebanese self-taught illustrator living in Paris since 2017. She started sharing her work during the confinement in April 2020. She drew her piece “A heartbreak” on an early morning in July when she was on the phone with her mum. Her mum was describing how much inflation has risen, how famine runs the streets, how the soul and life of Beirut had disappeared.
Since the beginning of the year, Lebanese people have felt heartbreak, everywhere in the world.
Today, let’s try together to fix our aching hearts, hand in hand.
