Earlier this year we saved Barbie from Animal Control. To our surprise, we found out during her spay that she was carrying 4 full term puppies. While it was suggested to just abort them, we decided they had crossed PPR's path for a reason. We refused to end their lives there; 5 days later, Junior, Midge, Skipper, and Kelly were born. #BarbiesBabies were thriving, healthy, chunky baby hippos. Life was good for these babes! Sadly, as time passed and they got older, Junior started to lose weight. If you follow the Pittie Please Rescue, NFP Facebook page, you will see that we have been trying to figure out what's going on with our sweet boy. Since the beginning of July, Junior has had nonstop vet appointments, blood drawn, and tests run as his health continued to rapidly deteriorate...this past week, Junior needed to be admitted in to the VCA Arboretum's Emergency Room. While we knew it would be a financial hit to our small rescue, we also knew we could NOT let cost deter us from getting Junior the care he needs. Junior is still fighting, so we sure as hell are too! We ask #TeamJunior to once again gather in his corner. Just the first 24 hours alone racked up an estimate over $5,000; Junior was admitted Tuesday (7/30). We NEED Junior to receive all the care he needs, whatever it takes.
PLEASE help us help Junior! Every bit helps. 100% of proceeds to Junior's apparel goes to support him and our continued efforts to make him healthy.
