This design depicts the symbol of Sol, the point within the circle, obscured by three other images: that of the face of Besz, appearing in the central point; that of Scorpio-Apophis (as Venus), in the seven-pointed star; and that of the magician in the attitude of Apophis, the
destroyer. The whole is enclosed within the downward-pointing red triangle of Ra-Hoor-Khuit. Inspired by Aleister Crowley's Rite of Sol, the collage was originally created by Frater Enatheleme in 1999 e.v. It is an illustration of the progression of that rite, in which the patriarchal Sol is destroyed by, and provides the foundation of, the ascent of Venus.
