In talking with various black women performers in the arts/entertainment industry and sharing audition experiences, I heard their stories of needing to always be ready, alert, and on 10x better than the woman next to you. It made me think about space, accessibility, opportunity, and how perceived scarcity makes artists feel like they need to cut down the artist next to them to succeed . I made this shirt to remind us all that we can do what we can from where we are. Support is a free gift that we can give to others, and this is one way to give that support.
