The Flint water crisis is a drinking water contamination in Flint, Michigan that started in April 2014. Our Governor Rick Snyder changed the source from treated Detroit Water to the Flint River poisoned with lead creating a serious public health danger. The corrosive Flint River water has caused between 6,000 and 12,000 children have severely high levels of lead in their blood and they are experiencing a range of serious health problems. Thousands of citizens and helpless children are now poisoned and continue to live with the contaminated water.
