This throwback design was created to commemorate another of Atlanta's favorite clubs, the Otherside. Located on Piedmont near Cheshire Bridge, this bar was housed in a renovated Steak and Ale resturant. As requested by the bar's owner, a portion of the proceeds from these shirts will benefit women in distress.
The Otherside was made internationally famous by a bombing incident just months after the Atlanta Olympic bombing.
"[Owner Bev McMahon's] club was bombed the night of February 21, 1997, a Friday. She had just driven up to the place and was about to enter when what police later called “a projectile bomb” exploded. She was lucky in that the nails, glass shards and other debris flew over her head. The blast destroyed several cars in the parking lot, including her own. She remembers the sight of two empty baby seats blown out of her backseat."
