Zoo
1600 Commerce Avenue
Dallas TX
1960s-70s. Across from NM's downtown store. Very popular gay hangout in the 1960s and 70s. By the end of the 70s, the gay scene was relocating to the Oaklawn area. Zoo Bar often used plain fonts [and occasionally animal caricatures] in their ads and flyers. This design is based on the awesome sign that hung above the entrance, with color added.
