I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE! My daughter turned 18 this March, graduated High School in May, and was supposed to start the 18+ program with the school but her leukodystrophy progressed causing her to get aspirating/lower lobe pneumonia. Now she has oxygen, ng-tube, respiratory vest and cough assist all the while being monitored with an pulse ox machine. She has upcoming appointments that I'm unable to do a TELEVISIT as she needs surgery to have a G-TUBE/G-BUTTON put in (consult is Aug 30th), Pulmonologist (lung) appointments, Somnologist (sleep) appointments, and another swallow study to find out if she can start eating/drinking by mouth ever again. If she continues to aspirate even while not having anything by mouth she while need a tracheostomy, but we will deal with that if it comes up in conversation again with a doctor. With all this dropped on us, I am u able to transport her around without a wheelchair accessible vehicle, and I need help to purchase one. I have applied to charities, and got on their waiting list. I am applying for grants as I find them. In the meantime I am trying to raise the money through fb gofundme bc my window of being able to wait any longer has shut. Please, if you can donate anything it will help get her closer to being able to get where she needs to go. Please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE to help get the word out!
