One great aspect of Teespring is Design Support - a team of dedicated graphic designers here to help you successfully launch campaigns. We assist you in setting up your campaigns as well as provide crucial design help.
We want to help you as best we can, and one way we can do that is by filling you in on how our process and guidelines work so you can launch your campaign sans stress. Just so you know, Teespring reserves the right to refuse any design request on the basis of copyright infringement or any content that does not comply with the Terms of Service set forth by Teespring so if you haven’t looked our TOS over, that’s a great place to start.
One important difference to note is that Teespring Design Support is not a freelance design service - which means we do not create designs from scratch or for use outside of Teespring.
However, we are happy to help with a variety of other services including file type compatibility, troubleshooting, and other problems caused by not having the proper software.
Requests
If you need assistance, please contact our support team. From there, you will be able to describe and submit your request.
Before you submit your request, make sure you have a Teespring account. Let us know if the email you are using to submit your design is different than your Teespring account email address, so we know how to find you on our system. All completed designs will be uploaded directly as a draft campaign into your Teespring account.
Compatible Image File Types
Teespring Design Support accepts these files types:
Recommended
- AI
- EPS
Acceptable
- GIF
- JPG
- PNG
- PSD
- TIFF
It's in your best interest to always use high-quality images. Lower quality images result in longer processing times and loss of fine details to your completed product. Very low quality images will be rejected. Make sure to provide the typeface file for any text you would like in a specific font. You must also outline the text for AI and EPS files as well as rasterize the text for PSD and TIFF files.
Image Quality
If your campaign doesn’t look quite right, you can contact our support team for image quality assurance before your campaign is launched.
Make sure to let us know any required Pantone Matching System colors to get the exact color you want. If not, the closest matching PMS colors will be chosen during the vectorization process. PMS colors are chosen from the Solid Coated Plus series.
Background Removal
One common mistake is assuming that if your background in an image matches your shirt color, that it will not show up. This is not the case, so it’s crucial to delete any image backgrounds that you do not want as ink on the shirt.
If you aren’t sure how to delete a background yourself, Design Support can remove it from a design upon request. Contact our support team prior to or as soon as possible after launching your campaign.
Color Reduction
We have a maximum of 10 colors in every design. If your design has more than our maximum, Design Support can reduce the number of colors in a design upon request. Just let us know by contacting support before your campaign launches.
Live Campaign Design Editing
Requests for edits on a live campaign may be submitted to our support team. Please keep in mind any edits, such as changing images, fonts, or colors, or background removal, must be made prior to or as soon as possible after a campaign has launched. If you wait too long, we may not be able to complete your request. So don’t delay!
Photographs
Each photograph will be treated on a case by case basis in terms of quality. Photographs that are of low resolution, pixelated, over-saturated, or undersaturated will be rejected. Ultimately, what qualifies as high quality will be determined by Design Support. The reason we do this is to ensure that everything that is printed at Teespring be high quality and keeps your buyers happy.
Design Finalization
If Teespring Design Support is given all the necessary elements for a design, it will be finalized into a design for you. Design Support is only able to composite your assets into a presentable design. Any images or pieces of the design must all be sent over to Design Support, meaning we are not illustrating your design from scratch, rather making it all look great together. If you are interested in creating a type-heavy design (mostly text) please visit our web-based platform, choose a font you like and alter the lettering as you see fit.
In the end we are here to help you complete your designs, have them look awesome on a tee, and do the best we can so you can keep selling awesome apparel!
