A strawberry mermaid
For lovers of retro Japanese aesthetics.<br><br>Japanese aesthetics from the 80s rocked. I was inspired by Vaporwave and Future Funk internet culture that heavily reference the nostalgia of the era.<br>This design features many pop culture nods that retro anime enthusiasts, like myself, would appreciate. This includes gadget re-imaginations reminiscent of designs from Japanese electronics manufacturers. In addition, the character featured in the screen is my Anime interpretation of Japanese music artist , Mariya Takeuchi, who is respected both in Japan and this music subculture. Additional design easter eggs include badly placed translations which reference anime VHS fan-subs from the 90s.
